The first ever European Powerchair Football Association (EPFA) was concluded with the draw for the first Powerchair Champions League draw. The draw saw the 2 English teams separated so they could not meet at the group stages and all other teams drawn randomly. The first 2 teams to be drawn were the English teams, with Aspire first out the hat followed by Northern Thunder. The hat with the remaining 6 teams were then drawn. Next team out were Montauban (French champions) setting up the first game in Pool A as English v French champions at Corot. The other teams drawn in Pool A are Vaucression and Villeneuve d’Ascq. Pool B sees the most diverse countries in the group, with every team representing a different country. Pool B has Northern Thunder (English runners-up), Aarhus Rolling Devils (Danish champions), Mec Charleroi (Belguim champions) and Kerpape (French runners-up) and this group will be played in Gayant. On Sunday, all games will be played at Corot and there will be 7th and 5th place play-offs, semi-finals, 3rd place play-offs before the FINAL!
